the microbial surface components recognizing adhesive matrix molecules (mscramms) genes among clinical isolates of staphylococcus aureus from hospitalized children

چکیده
background:isolates of staphylococcus aureus express a myriad of adhesive surface proteins that play important role in colonization of the bacteria on nasal and skin surfaces, beginning the process of pathogenesis. the aim of this study was to screen several of the microbial surface components recognizing adhesive matrix molecules (mscramms) genes among the isolate of s. aureus from hospitalized children. methods:a totalof 22 s. aureus isolates were collected from hospitalized children in tehran from 2012 to 2013. detection of the meca and several adhesive surface proteins genes including clfa, b (encoding clumping factors a, b); fnba, b (encoding finronectin binding proteins a, b); fib (encoding fibrinogen binding protein); eno (encoding laminin binding protein); cna (encoding collagen binding protein); ebps (encoding elastin binding protein) and bbp (encoding bone sialo-protein binding protein), was performed by pcr. results: the clfab genes were detected among all the isolates. the prevalence of fnba, fnbb, fib, eno, cna, ebps and bbp was 63%, 6%, 50%, 59%, 82%, 63%, 9% and 0%, respectively. conclusion: the high prevalence of these genes is important for future plans in vaccine designation. mrsa and mssa isolates similarly can produce adhesive surface proteins for colonization.

متن کاملDetection of icaABCD Genes in Clinical Isolates of Methicillin-Resistant Staphylococcus aureus from Patients in Iran
Introduction: Methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA) is an important pathogen that causes several nosocomial or community-acquired infections. Adhesion to surfaces and subsequent biofilm formation are the major phases of a staphylococcal infection. The aim of this study was to detect the presence of icaABCD genes in clinical isolates of MRSA. Methods: A total of 110 clinical Staphyl...
متن کاملDetection of Intracellular Adhesion (ica) and Biofilm Formation Genes in Staphylococcus aureus Isolates from Clinical Samples
Background: The nosocomial infections that cause the establishment of biofilms on the embedded biomedical surfaces are the leading cause of sepsis and are often related to colonization of implants by Staphylococcus epidermidis. Materials and Methods: A total of 40 clinical S. aureus isolates were collected from Zabol, Iran. The ability of these strains to form biofilm was determined by microli...
متن کاملhigh prevalence of icaabcd genes responsible for biofilm formation in clinical isolates of staphylococcus aureus from hospitalized children
conclusions prevalence of icaadbc genes was relatively high among children and also all the four ica genes were detected among mrsa strains. results five isolates (22.7%) were methicillin resistant (mrsa) and meca gene was detected among them. all the mrsa isolates harbored sccmec type iii. prevalence of icaa, icab, icac and icad in the isolates were 16 (73%), 14 (63.6%), 16 (73%) and 16 (73%),...
متن کاملGenetic diversity of Staphylocoagulase genes (Coa) among methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus isolates at clinical specimens of blood and urinary infections
Background: Staphylococcus aureus is a common pathogen in human that can be the cause of a wide range of infectious diseases including bacteremia, pneumonia, cellulitis, and osteomyelitis and skin and soft tissue infections. The coagulase enzyme is one of the most important virulence factors of this bacterium. The polymerase chain reaction-restriction fragment length polymorphism (PCR-RFLP) Coa...
